Cycle 1200 miles from Apalachicola, Florida to the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland along well known and developed bicycle routes in the eastern states of the US. Enjoy 23 days of riding with your classmates from the academy.

The ride deposit is $500 and due by July 15, 2024. The deposit is 100% refundable until December 31, 2024 when it becomes nonrefundable. Final payments are due by June 30, 2025 and 100% refundable until that date.

What to Expect:

This is a fully supported tour with indoor hotel accommodations, meals in local establishments, on-route SAG, and luggage transportation. The weather will be warm and the scenery spectacular. Average daily mileage: 58.

Highlights:

- Rest days every 7-8 days, near major metro areas.
- Riders can join ride at any segment and ride as many segments as possible.

Additional Pricing Information

The tour requires a minimum of 6 riders. Final pricing will be set in the Fall of 2024 and will range between $6900 and $8400 for the entire trip depending on the number of riders on the tour. The single supplement (private room) is $1900.

Segment 1: Apalachicola, FL to Savannah, GA - Sep 30 - Oct 7

After our meetup, orientation and shakedown ride, we will leave Apalachiacola, FL heading east-northeast toward Tallahassee, into southern Georgia on a route along USBRS 90 & 15 and ACA Atlantic Coast routes to Brunsick, GA and the Atlantic seaboard lading into Savannah, GA by weeks end and a day of rest.

Segment 2: Savannah, GA to Raleigh, MD - Oct 8-14

Miles: 390 miles · Elevation: +8,428’ / -7,954'
Terrain: Paved road, some bike paths

Leaving Savannah, GA we make our way back inland riding along USBRS 15 & 1, GA State Bike Route 10, and the East Coast Greenway through Georgia, South Carolina and into Raleigh, NC by the end of the week and our final rest day of our journey.

Special Dinner: A 1975 classmate, Chuck Olexik, and his wife Meg, will be providing a special dinner for us in their Raleigh home on our October 15th rest day.

Segment 3: Raleigh, NC to Annapolis, MD - Oct 15-23

Out excitement builds toward the climax of our adventure as we make our way on USBRS 1, ACA Atlantic Coast, and East Coast Greeway routes through North Carolina, Virginia, District of Columbia and Maryland. We arrive triumphantly at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD where friends, family and classmates await our arrival. The hilliest section of our 3 weeks together.

Segment 4: Richmond, VA to Annapolis, MD - Oct 19-23

Miles: 170 miles · Elevation: +6,012’ / -6,312’
Terrain: Paved road, some bike paths

Others may join us in Richmond, VA on Segment 3 as our ranks swell for the final part of our journey to the Naval Academy.
